After organising Nordic Ruby for 4 years, it was time for a change.
Every year, the talks that most people liked the best were the personal talks about the human side of our craft. Those are the talks that really resonated with our attendees, and with me personally. So as the conference evolved, we had more and more of the non-technical talks. And the conference became better for it. But we still felt compelled to have at least a couple more technical talks in the line up.
Yet every year we heard from a few attendees that were disappointed that there weren't more of the technical talks. The conference was called Nordic Ruby after all. Where were all the talks about Ruby?
We never intented Nordic Ruby to be about Ruby. It was for people who liked Ruby. It was always about the people. That's when we realised that we needed to change the name.
Welcome to True North. A conference about what guides us and motivates us, and why we do the things we do.
We'll be posting more info here as we get closer to the event. In the mean time, follow us at @truenorthconf for updates.
